On January 10, 2020, renowned fashion designer Raghavendra Rathore inaugurated his first flagship store in Ahmedabad, marking a significant expansion of his eponymous brand. The launch event, held at the store located in Ashok Vatika, was graced by the presence of acclaimed actress Nimrat Kaur, adding a touch of Bollywood glamour to the evening.
The Ahmedabad store showcases Rathore's signature tailored menswear, including the iconic Bandhgalas, as well as an array of women's embellished traditional wear, footwear, and accessories. The designer announced plans to introduce an exclusive collection of women's Bandhgalas, blending his refined take on Indian tradition with inspirations from international fashion houses like Oscar de la Renta, Donna Karan, and Bill Blass.
During the event, Nimrat Kaur expressed her admiration for Rathore's work, stating, "It is said that style is inherent, but designers like Raghavendra Rathore have managed to go beyond fashion to seed 'individual style' for his clientele, a task not possible without the love for what the brand stands for and creates." She extended her best wishes to the brand, referring to them as "the world's best Bandhgala makers."
